Meler Micron PUR
The Micron PUR gear pump series is a range of melters specially designed for melting and pumping PUR/POR crosslinking adhesives. They come in 5 l sizes for 2 kg blocks (MICRON PUR LC) and 35 l sizes for 20 kg blocks (MICRON PUR MC). The melters are based on “Micron Technology” and share a common goal: reducing electrical energy consumption to a minimum.
SIMPLE ELECTRONIC CONTROL Its intuitive control panel makes controlling the equipment an easy and simple task, facilitating the day-to-day work of the operator. The control panel includes functions such as standby (dropping temperatures to a programmed value, lower than the working temperature) or full equipment shut- down to facilitate the care of crosslinking adhesives. These functions may be activated manually using the keyboard, through programming using the control system’s internal clock, or externally from the main machine. This protects the adhesive from the effects of premature curing due to exposure to high temperatures for long periods of time.
TIME SAVING Quick access to the inside of the equipment by sliding open the door to the electronic control system and moving aside the electric panel to access the motor-pump assembly, and a panel with a side opening to reach the pump purge and filter. The purger located in the filter head makes it easier to remove any adhesive that has stopped up inside the equipment when hot and when the system has not been pumping for a while; it also makes it easier to clean.
COOL TOUCH FOR YOUR SAFETY The Micron Series is designed to ensure maximum worker safety. It keeps the casings cold and has a pressure-relief valve that limits the pressure generated in the circuit when the pump is running with the hydraulic circuit closed.

MELTING EFFICIENCY The temperature is distributed evenly over the entire contact surface of the tank, achieving thorough and efficient melting of the adhesive without creating hotspots at which the adhesive could break down. The extremely reliable high-performance motor-reducer- pump assembly ensures a continuous flow of adhesive.
CAREFUL TREATMENT OF THE ADHESIVE The equipment’s airtight tank lid and the air-drying system ensure the perfect conservation of the adhesive, maintaining its properties over time.
PUMPING EFFICIENCY There is less loss of adhesive load in the pump, as the channels are larger and straight. From the filter channel the adhesive exits directly through and out the hoses. This: – Facilitates equipment cleaning. – Avoids dead zones where the adhesive can stop up and eventually crosslink. – Makes it easier to work with high-viscosity adhesives. – Reduces wear on the motor-pump assembly.
